2000-2010. Behind the Mask (BtM) was a post media NGO, started in 2000 by Bart Luirink, a Dutch journalist living in both South Africa and Holland. BtM covered lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people’s affairs in Africa. It was the acknowledged prime source and held that position for 10 years.
